The polls are open for the state-level races in Virginia — Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, all 100 seats in the House of Delegates, as well as important local bond referendums. Election day, a state holiday, is Tuesday November 4, but early voting is happening right now, and will continue through the Friday before election day.

The Young Worker's Committee of Local 22 are hosting the second annual Pumpkin Carving Contest on October 26th at the Union Hall at 1810 Hamlin Street, NE; doors open at 10am. Come down to see the competitors, enjoy some refreshments, and enter your own pumpkin for a chance at some fabulous door prizes.
